Restoration of slate roof and masonry also included installation of
new EPDM flat roof, replacement of flanged cornice gutter linings
with 20 ounce lead coated copper.
St. John's Church - Essex, CT
Slate roof was replaced of with new Vermont weathering green slate.
Original gutters were replaced with newly fabricated molded face
gutters with decorative molding in 20 ounce copper to match
original. Copper wall panels on dormers were replaced as well as,
flat seam copper roofing and flashings.
Private Connecticut Residence
Restoration of a slate roof, the original design, by Theodate Pope
Riddle, in the style of homes in the Cotswold region of England.
Slate restoration involved removing slate to allow for installation
of insulation, ventilation, replacement of rotten wood and
replacement of slate with new and salvaged slate set in mortar, to
replicate the original design. Dismantled and rebuilt chimney to
install new copper pan flashings and counterflashings.
